ABOUT CLASSICAL STYLE
Classical bellydance encompasses what most people first think of when they think of a bellydancer. Bellydance is a misnomer from the west, and is correctly referred to as raqs sharqi or oriental dance, but this enigmatic dance style has spread like wildfire across the world. As it spreads, it evolves and transforms. Nefabit’s style combines authentic roots and modern taste, emphasizing beautiful, elegant lines and extensions, explosive and powerful combinations and intricate isolations.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Nefabit is a second-generation dancer from Spokane, Washington, whose passion for movement began in early childhood under the guidance of her mother, renowned dancer Delilah Ra. With a background in both classical and cultural dance traditions, she has cultivated a powerful, maximalist style that captivates audiences across the U.S. and Canada. As the director of Northwest Bellydance Academy and the professional performance troupe Northwest Bellydance Company, Nefabit is dedicated to both artistic excellence and community empowerment. She has earned numerous top titles in the industry, including Bellydancer of the Universe 2021, Bellydancer USA 2022, and Bellydance Global Championship 2022. In 2021, she was invited to join Bellydance Evolution, the world’s premier touring belly dance company. Through her performances and teaching, Nefabit continues to push the boundaries of modern belly dance.
